to join in Artistic Collaboration
Friday and Saturday, September 24 and 25
Fashion Week Cleveland and Ingenuity Festival will collaborate on a live "performance art" event. Fashion models, wearing art, will mingle amongst the festival guests forming a seamless continuum between audience and performer. Artists and fashion designers will create wearable art presentations in an extravaganza... an eclectic fusion of fashion, art, and design. Featured artists Ms. Kitty Blue, Sarah "Sadie" Nedbalski, and Angie Franklin... hair and makeup is the creation of Imagine Salon & Spa ...artistic direction by Jessica M. Zybura .
These artistic designs are inspired by reconstruction, old & new, glass, ceramic, paper, plastic, history, techology ...there are no limits to wearable art... nor performance art! And as all performance art, it is in the here and now... as an experience that comes and goes... the present that endures only as a memory. Weekend attendance expected to be 30,000+. No charge for admission :: Open to all

Dr. Donald Shingler has created "the nation's third largest fashion week after New York and Los Angeles," according to Women's Wear Daily. Quite an accomplishment in just four years. The 10 days of events in Fashion Week Cleveland 2009 include three major runway events at Flats night club Metropolis, the Nautica Queen cruise ship and the Renaissance Cleveland Hotel, plus another dozen or so educational programs in collaboration with NASA, Western Reserve Historical Society, Cleveland Clinic, the Cleveland Public Library, the Cuyahoga County Public Library, Hard Rock Cafe, Intermuseum Conservation Association, and the Greater Cleveland Sports Commission.
