Dr. Donald Shingler has created "the nation's third largest fashion week after New York and Los Angeles," according to Women's Wear Daily. Quite an accomplishment in just four years. The 10 days of events in Fashion Week Cleveland 2009 include three major runway events at Flats night club Metropolis, the Nautica Queen cruise ship and the Renaissance Cleveland Hotel, plus another dozen or so educational programs in collaboration with NASA, Western Reserve Historical Society, Cleveland Clinic, the Cleveland Public Library, the Cuyahoga County Public Library, Hard Rock Cafe, Intermuseum Conservation Association, Kent State University, and the Greater Cleveland Sports Commission.

Watch this video, with cameos by models Jessica Schmidt & Monika Lange, plus unclothed artistic director Angela Ilg and fashion designer Marquita, bringing a little glamour to Public Square, much to the delight of tourist passersby.
