Cleveland, Ohio. Cleveland Musuem of Art, has been selected as the site of Fashion Week Cleveland's Art & Culture Educational Programming. In previous years participants have included Ursuline College's Fashion Design and Merchandising Program, NASA, United States Air Force, Tuskegee Airmen, International Women's Air & Space Museum, and Western Reserve Historical Society's Chisholm Halle Costume Wing. In 2012 the documentary Dressed, released by Onerock Moving Pictures, featuring Fashion Week Cleveland alum designer Nary Manivong and directed by David Swajeski, will be shown during Fashion Week Cleveland. Mr. John Ewing, Associate Director of Film The Cleveland Museum of Art and Cleveland Institute of Art Cinematheque will create the evening of film, fashion, art, and education. Join us at "The Artists Salon" at L 'Albatros in University Circle directly following the film and Q&A.

Over the years the vast selection of Fashion Week Cleveland learning opportunities have included a seminar covering the form and function of space suits by the National Aeronautics and Space Administration’s Glenn Research Center, Ursuline College's historical presentation on the influence of the military on fashion, the International Women's Air & Space Museum discussion on WASPs in WWI, and a special appearance by Cleveland architect and Tuskegee Airman Arthur Saunders. This national convention and conference will be held the first week in May with the FWC Education Program being on Friday, May 11, 2012 at the Cleveland Museum of Art.

Halle Building; to host Fashion Week Cleveland Runway Events in 2012
Runway shows, fashion, style, design, and retail, all come together at fashion week in Cleveland. Fashion Week Cleveland has long touted the fusion between art, design, commerce, retail, and education. We further this distinction as our designer runway shows converge on the the downtown Halle Department Store Building.
