Open since December 2011, Kreate Studio emphasizes “beauty well-being” by using natural, non-toxic products and by incorporating education in client appointments and special events. Brands used by Kreate Studio include Mirabella, Loreal Professionelle, Inoa’s no-ammonia hair color, and Intelligent Nutrients, a line created by Horst Rechelbacher of Aveda fame. Intelligent Nutrients, ranked as the number one natural and organic brand by the Organic Monitor of London, is a food-grade body and hair care system. As such, some of the products are actually edible. Clients are instructed in product use during appointments, and Kreate Studio also offers monthly “Business of Being Well” events on topics such as nutrition, meditation, yoga and relaxation.

Owner Ken Novak has more than 20 years of experience in the beauty industry. Before opening
Kreate Studio, he served as an Aveda stylist, educator, Purefessional and guest artist. He believes that education and total wellness are key parts of the beauty package.
